Meat & Three

About

Meat & Three is the design studio of Geoff Nichols, working out of Portland, Oregon.

The name is a Nashville thing. A meat-and-three is a plate lunch: you pick one meat and three sides, it comes on a single plate, and it’s honest food made by people who’ve been making it a long time. That’s the idea here too: a few things chosen on purpose, made with care, and nothing on the plate that doesn’t need to be there.

The work leans toward restraint. Warm over cold, quiet over loud, type doing the work instead of ornament. Honest materials and no faux anything. If a thing can come off and the whole still stands, it comes off.
